**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding | Burglary – On November 26th at 4:08AM, police responded to a residence located in the 8500 block of Somersworth Dr in Manassas (20111) in investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that an altercation had ensued between the victim, a 27 year old man of Manassas, and a known male acquaintance. The male acquaintance had forcibly entered victim’s residence to confront him about a previous incident. Following the encounter, the suspect fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his arm and back. At this point in the investigation, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
Malicious Wounding – On November 25th at 2:47PM, police responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Forestdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a fight. The victim, a 17 year old male Woodbridge, reported to police that four men came to his residence and attempted to fight him. The confrontation moved outside and escalated. During the encounter, one of the men pulled out a knife and cut the victim multiple times. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to his arm and face and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. At this point in the investigation, this incident does not appear to be random.
Suspect Descriptions:
4 males – 2 were described as Hispanic and 2 were black, all between 18 & 25 years of age – no further description
All were last seen wearing all black or dark colored clothing
**ARRESTS**
Rape – On November 25th, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7900 block of Meadow Ct in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that on two occasions in November of 2013, the victim, a 12 year old girl of Manassas, was raped by the accused, a known acquaintance. The accused also sent the victim electronic messages to facilitate the incidents. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Carlos Daniel CORTEZ, 30, of 7921 Meadow Ct in Manassas
Charged with 2 counts of rape and 1 count of using a communications device to facilitate certain offenses involving children
