Armed Robbery | Drug Related *ARREST – On May 25th, detectives from the Robbery Unit arrested one of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 8100 block of Portwood Tn in Manassas on February 27th. The investigation revealed the accused is the suspect that displayed the knife during the robbery.

Rashad Taheem NORRIS, 19, of 310 Kilby St in Manassas
Charged with robbery
Court date set for July 10, 2013, held WITHOUT bond
Armed Robbery | Drug Related [Previously Released] – On February 27th at 10:53AM, police responded to the 8100 block of Portwood Tn in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Centreville, reported to police that he was in the area above when two unknown men approached him. One of the men displayed a knife and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspects. While speaking with the victim, officers discovered marijuana. Further investigation revealed that the victim came to the area above for a drug transaction which led to the robbery. Marijuana, packaging material, and other evidence were found on the victim, now the accused. Following the investigation the accused was arrested.
Armed Robbery *ARREST - On May 26th, detectives from the Robbery Unit arrested one of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge on December 2nd in 2010. The investigation revealed the accused is the suspect that displayed the knife during the robbery.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On December 2nd at 10:40PM, police responded to the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victim, a taxi driver, reported to police that he was dispatched to the area above for a fare. As he waited, two unknown men approached him. One of the men displayed a knife and demanded money. The two men fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. No injuries were reported.
**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding – On May 27th at 4:01AM, police responded to the 9700 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) for an assault. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were driving to a residence in the above area when the two began to argue. The argument escalated and the accused bit the victim multiple times. Once at the residence, the accused continued to assault the victim. After the assault, the accused got back into his vehicle. The victim approached the vehicle and requested to be taken back to her residence. At this point, the accused put the vehicle in reverse with the victim still holding on. The victim was dragged several feet before she let go. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’8”, 160lbs, with a medium build, short black hair, and brown eyes

Malicious Wounding – On May 25th at 8:47PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a fight. The victim, a 42 year old man of no fixed address, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with a blunt object. After the assault, the accused fled the area. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Described as a black male, 6’1”, 240lbs, with a medium build, short black hair, and brown eyes

Residential Burglary – On May 27th at 6:31PM, police responded to the 16200 block of Eagle Flight Cir in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he was sitting in his living room when he heard his front door close. Upon checking his residence, no suspect was located however a laptop and cell phone, valued around $1,400 were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On May 24th at 12:33PM, police responded to the 2900 block of Stockholm Way in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that she was in her basement when she heard her rear sliding glass door open and saw an unknown man partially enter the residence. The homeowner yelled towards the suspect who immediately fled. No injuries were reported and no property was missing. A police K-9 was used in the search for the suspect.

Male, unknown race, between 15 & 25 years of age, 5’11”, 140lbs, with a thin build and black hair
Last seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and possibly carrying a backpack
**ARRESTS**
Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On May 24th at 4:18PM, police responded to investigate a domestic related assault which was reported to have occurred in the 6000 block of River Forest Dr in Manassas (20112) on May 10th. The victim, a 70 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that on this day, she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times to the back. About a week later, the accused assaulted the victim again, following another verbal altercation. As a result of this assault, the victim sustained injuries to her leg. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On May 24th at 3:30AM, police responded to the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic. The victim, a 40 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused began to strangle the victim. At one point, the victim was able to strike the accused with a glass vase which caused him to let her go. The accused then continue to assault the victim leading to a struggle between the two parties. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On May 24th at 3:00AM, police responded to the 12800 block of Marblestone Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a domestic. The victim, a 41 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and strangled her. The victim was able to get away from the accused. After the assault, the accused left the residence. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. The accused turned himself into police without further incident.

Fire Bombing | Destruction of Property – On May 23rd at 7:00PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Photo Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a disorderly subject. The victim, a 45 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument. After the argument, the accused walked out of the residence and damaged a side mirror on the victim’s vehicle. The accused then retrieved a bottle of alcohol and constructed a “Molotov Cocktail” which he then lit and discarded at the dead-end of Portland Dr before returning to the residence. Once at the residence, the accused encounter officers who attempted to arrest him for damaging the victim’s mirror. The accused jumped on top of one of the police cruisers and attempted to flee. After a short foot pursuit, the accused was detained without further incident. Once in custody, officers learned about the incendiary device. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The Prince William County Fire Marshals’ Office assisted in the investigation.
