Residential Burglary | Grand Larceny – On April 29th, following an extensive investigation, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit, identified four suspects involved in a burglary reported to have occurred in the 4500 block of Lawnvale Dr in Haymarket on April 26th. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed in the 5300 block of Chaffin Farm Ct in Haymarket. During the search, several items of property, identified as taken during the burglary, were located. Other items of property, also taken during the burglary, were recovered throughout the course of the investigation. The accused were all juveniles and known by the victim. Following the investigation, all of the accused were arrested without incident.

Residential Burglary (Previously Released) – On April 26th at 8:24PM, police responded to the 4500 block of Lawnvale Dr in Haymarket to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 5:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry. Miscellaneous jewelry, valued around $20,000, was reported missing. This does not appear to be a random incident. Investigation continues.
**INCIDENTS**
Burglary – On May 2nd at 3:42AM, police responded to the 16300 block of Kramer Estate Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that he was awoken by a chirping sound from an alarm system inside the residence. When the homeowner investigated the sound, he observed what appeared to be a light from a cell phone in the kitchen area of the residence. At that point, the homeowner, who was located on another floor, yelled at the unknown person holding the light. After the homeowner yelled, he heard the footsteps of a person fleeing from the residence. The homeowner then heard a vehicle depart from outside of the residence. The homeowner did not encounter the person or the vehicle during the incident. Following an investigation, it was determined that entry was gained through an unsecured door leading into the residence from the garage area where the garage door was also left unsecure. No items were reported missing. No injuries were reported.
**ARRESTS**
Animal Cruelty – On April 11th, Animal Control Officers from the Police Department’s Animal Control Bureau received information from a citizen regarding the condition of animals at the Cross State’s Stable located at 12108 Nokesville Road in Bristow (20136). The citizen reported numerous animals that appeared to be emaciated and in need of medical care. On April 14th, Animal Control Officers, accompanied by a veterinarian, arrived to inspect the property. Officers observed numerous animals in poor condition. Some of the animals were clearly in need of medical care. In addition, there appeared to be inadequate food and water available for animals. Officers also observed deceased animals and animal parts that were disposed of improperly. The stalls were found covered with animal feces and water containers were not properly cleaned. A total of 17-horses, 19-sheep, 6-goats, 2-donkeys, 1-cow, 27-rabbits, 4-dogs, 1-llama and approximately 50-poultry, in various cages, were found on the property. As a result of the inspection, Animal Control Officers executed a search warrant and removed 59 animals from the property, including, 28-rabbits, 18-sheep, 6-goats, 4-dogs, 2-horses and 1-bull calf. Some small animals, located during the search warrant, were euthanized due to their poor condition of health. The remaining animals, removed during the search warrant, are being cared for by the Animal Control staff. Following the investigation, the accused were arrested without incident.
