Daily Incident Report for Tuesday, August 5, 2014

**UPDATE**

 

Crash – Fatality Hit & Run *ARREST – On August 4th, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit received information about a possible suspect vehicle involved in the fatal hit & run crash which was reported to have occurred in the area of Vint Hill Rd and Broadlands Rd in Nokesville earlier that morning. Investigators located the vehicle, a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada, parked in the 15600 block of Vint Hill Rd, approximately 3 miles from the crash location. The vehicle showed signs of being involved in a crash. Investigators determined that this was the striking vehicle involved in the incident. Furthermore, the driver at the time of the collision was identified as the accused, Allen NOCK of Gainesville. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash. The investigation continues.

Arrested on August 4th:

Allan Gordon NOCK, 29, of 15603 Vint Hill Rd in Gainesville

Charged with hit & run resulting in injury or death

Court date: September 19, 2014 | Bond: $25,000 secured

 

Identified:

The victim was identified as Ross Damon ADAMS, 36, of no fixed address

 

Crash – Fatality Hit & Run [Previously Released] – On August 4th at 2:49AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Vint Hill Rd and Broadlands Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a hit & run crash. A caller reported to police that there was an unconscious man on Vint Hill Rd near the area above. Officers arrived in the area and located the victim, identified as a 36 year old man, who is believed to have been struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe that the male was walking along or near the roadway when he was struck. The time of the crash is unknown and there is currently no description of the striking vehicle which fled following the collision. The vehicle was possibly headed westbound on Vint Hill Rd towards Fauquier County and should have extensive front end damage, possibly to the front passenger side. The identity of the victim will be released once notifications have been made with the next of kin.

 

**INCIDENTS**

 

Crash – Fatality – On August 5th at 7:41AM, officers responded to the area of Aden Rd and Fleetwood Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the operator of a 2008 Buell XB12XT motorcycle was traveling southbound on Aden Rd approaching the four-way stop intersection in the above area. As the operator approached the intersection, the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet 4500 truck, who had previously stopped on Fleetwood Dr, was continuing through the intersection. At that point, the operator of the motorcycle attempted to stop; however, collided with the truck in the intersection. Investigators determined that the driver of the truck had the right-of-way in the intersection at the time of the collision. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Alcohol and drug use do not appear to be factors in this collision.

Identified:

The operator of the 2008 Buell XB12XT motorcycle was identified as Jason V BANTON, 36, of Warrenton

 

The driver of the 2003 Chevrolet 4500 truck was identified as a 38 year old man of Manassas

 

Residential Burglary – On August 4th at 9:51AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Iona Sound Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on August 3rd and 6:30AM on August 4th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a basement level window which was broken out. No property was reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 4th at 1:39PM, officers responded to the Best Buy located at 2735 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fraud case. Employees reported to police that a customer, later identified as the accused, was attempting to open an account using fraudulent identification. Officers arrived at the located and made contact with the accused. During the encounter, the accused attempted to flee the business on foot and, at one point, pushed one of the officers and continued out of the front doors. The accused was eventually apprehended with further incident. No injuries were reported. In the process of fleeing the business, two sets of sliding glass doors were damaged. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Arrested on August 4th:

Steven Hansen RAMIREZ-LUGO, 22, of 3 W. 192 St in Bronx, NY

Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, destruction of property, possession of false identification, providing false identification to law enforcement, obtaining goods by false pretenses and resisting arrest

Court date: October 6, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
