Daily Incident Report for Monday, October 6, 2014

**INCIDENTS**

 

Malicious Wounding – On October 3rd at 5:24PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, was walking in the above area when he was approached and stabbed from behind by an unknown suspect. The victim was able to get away from the assailant before collapsing. A passerby located the victim and contacted police. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Initially, it was believed that the victim possibly knew the suspect but after further questioning, the victim never saw the suspect. The investigation continues.

 

Malicious Wounding | Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 3rd at 6:41PM, officers responded to investigate an attempted robbery which was reported to have occurred in the area of Telegraph Rd and Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22192). The victim, a 25 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was approached by an unknown woman. The woman grabbed the victim’s purse and attempted to remove it from around her arm. The victim held onto her purse and a struggle ensued. At one point, the suspect was knocked to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect pulled out a box cutter and cut the victim in the leg before fleeing on foot. The victim went to an area hospital where police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported.

Suspect Description:

White female, between 30 & 50 years of age, 5’6”, 150lbs with a thin build and shoulder length blonde hair

Last seen wearing a plaid shirt and jeans

 

Armed Robbery – On October 5th at 3:25AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the area of Benita Fitzgerald Dr and Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 19 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man pulled out a handgun and took the victim’s phone and money before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Suspect Description:

Black male, between 19 & 25 years of age, 6’2”, 190lbs with a medium build, medium complexion and black hair

Last seen wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black bandana, blue jeans and black shoes

 

Armed Robbery – On October 4th at 2:21AM, officers responded to the 7800 block of Amherst Dr in Manassas (20110) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 24 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men pulled out a handgun and took the victim’s cell phone and money before fleeing in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to check the area.

Hispanic male, unknown age, 5’7” with a thin build and short hair

Residential Burglary – On October 2nd at 8:36AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Nokesville Rd in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM on September 11th and 8:00AM on September 25th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a shed on the property. There were no signs of forced entry. Tools, total value around $1,300, were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On October 1st at 11:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7800 block of Rebel Walk Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:06AM and 11:30AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through a basement door. Jewelry, two TV’s and three gaming consoles with games, total value around $3,800, were reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Assault by Mob | Attempted Abduction – On October 1st at 5:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13100 block of Putnam Cir in Woodbridge (22191). The victim, a 20 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was assaulted by three known acquaintances. During the encounter, the men reportedly duct taped the victim and threatened him. The incident is believed to have retaliation for a previous encounter involving the victim and one of the suspects. Minor injuries were reported. All three suspects were eventually located and arrested.

Arrested on October 1st:

Nicholas Michael FRAZEE, 19, of 13049 Gorham Way in Woodbridge

 

Patrick Dewayne WILLINGHAM Jr., 21, of no fixed address

 

Luke William STOWE, 19, of 1410 Deerfield Ln in Woodbridge

 

All three suspects were charged with assault by mob, attempted abduction and extortion

Court date: November 25, 2014 | Bond: all were held WITHOUT bond

 

Assault by Mob | Armed Robbery – On September 30th at 3:56PM, officers responded to the 7300 block of Wichita Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed by three known male acquaintances. The investigation revealed that the victim arranged to meet with one of the acquaintances to sell a pair of shoes. After the purchase, the suspects assaulted the victim and took his cell phone, a pair of headphones and money before dispersing. During the encounter, a knife was implied by one of the males. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives were able to identify and locate the three suspects.

All three suspects are 16 year old male juveniles of Manassas

All were charged with assault by mob and robbery

Court date: pending | Status: held at a juvenile detention facility

 

Reckless Endangerment of a Child – On October 4th at 5:11PM, officers responded to the 4200 block of Cheshire Station Plz in Woodbridge (22193) after receiving a report of an unattended infant in a vehicle. A caller reported to police that they observed an infant alone in a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Cheshire Station Plaza. Officers arrived and located the victim, identified as an 8month old girl, who was being evaluated by rescue personnel. Officers further questioned the accused, identified as the victim’s mother. The investigation revealed that the victim was left unattended in the vehicle for about 40 to 45 minutes. The victim was transported to an area hospital as a precaution. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Arrested on October 4th:

Estela Patricia ROJAS, 26, of 333 Third St in Fredericksburg

Charged with reckless endangerment of a child

Court date: pending | Bond: $5,000 unsecured

 

Felony Child Neglect – On October 2nd at 4:08PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Westminster Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a child neglect call. The caller reported to police that man and woman were believed to be impaired inside the Petco located in the Cheshire Station Plaza. There was also a small child in their care while inside the store. The couple left the plaza prior to police arriving in the area. The caller was able to obtain a license plate number which lead them to a residence in the above area. Once at the home, officers located the vehicle and the accused who appeared to be under the influence and in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The child, identified as a 15 month old boy, was also located and appeared unharmed. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Colin Michael SIBBET, 36, of 14384 Westminster Ln in Woodbridge

Charged with felony child neglect and driving under the influence

Court date: December 23, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
