**UPDATES**

 

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery *ARREST – On October 28th, officers arrested the accused involved in the domestic assault which was reported to have occurred in the 14700 block of Dodson Dr in Woodbridge on October 11th. The accused was arrested without incident

Arrested on October 28th:

Jordon Kendale MORTON, 24, of no fixed address

Charged with abduction and domestic assault & battery

Court date: pending | Bond: unavailable

 

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery [Previously Released] – On October 11th at 2:30PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Dodson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. The argument began inside the residence then proceeded outside where both parties got into a vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving. The victim was eventually able to get out of the vehicle and contact police. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused.

 

**INCIDENTS**

 

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 29th at 5:14AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4000 block of Buckingham Ct in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 42 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, pushed her onto a bed where he proceeded to choke her. The parties eventually separated and the accused fled prior to police arriving at the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for his arrest.

Brian Terrell BOLAR, 25, of the 4000 block of Buckingham Ct in Dumfries

Described as black male, 5’7”, 140lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, short black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his wrist “My Brenda”

Wanted for strangulation and domestic assault & battery

 

Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On October 29th at 10:45PM, officers responded to the 11200 block of Soldier’s Ridge Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 44 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was outside his residence when he was approached by an unknown male juvenile. During the encounter, the juvenile suspect asked the victim for time. The victim pulled out his cell phone to check the time. At that point, the suspect reached towards and grabbed the phone. The victim held onto the device and a struggle ensued. The suspect eventually fled on foot without the phone. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Suspect Description:

Black male, between 15 & 16 years of age, 5’8” with a thin build, medium complexion, short dyed-blonde hair and brown eyes

Last seen wearing dark colored clothing – no further description

 

Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle | Attempted Malicious Wounding On October 28th at 0:11PM, officers responded to the 4100 block of Hoffman Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The victim, a 33 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and a known acquaintance were standing in his yard when an unknown, red SUV pulled in front of the residence. Once stopped, an occupant of the SUV reportedly shot towards the victim and his acquaintance. The vehicle then continued down Hoffman Dr before making a U-turn and approaching the residence where the occupant fired towards the victim and the acquaintance a second time. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the incident, the vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed. No description of the driver or its occupants was provided to police. The incident does not appear to be random.

 

Residential Burglary – On October 29th at 7:47PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Oakwood Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 7:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured kitchen window. Two firearms and money were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On October 29th at 3:21PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:30PM and 1:45PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the front door which was tampered with. Jewelry, a pair of shoes and money were reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Residential Burglary | Brandishing – On October 24th at 10:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7000 block of Lakota Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in an earlier verbal altercation. The accused reportedly came to the victim’s home and forced entry through a front door. The accused collected his belongings and left the home. The victim confronted the accused, at which point, he allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it towards the victim. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. The accused was located at his residence and arrested without incident following the investigation.

Arrested on October 24th:

Michael Eugene DYER Jr., 24, of 13440 Nystrom Ct in Woodbridge

Charged with burglary, brandishing and destruction of property

Court date: pending | Bond: $3,000 secured

 

Narcotics Investigation – On August 26th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of prescription pills with the execution of a search warrant at 12175 Derriford Ct in Woodbridge (22192). Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigation purposes.

Arrested on August 26th:

Avis Renee JENKINS, 58, of 12175 Derriford Ct in Woodbridge

Charged with distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic

Court date: December 19, 2014 | Bond: released on personal recognizance
