Daily Incident Report for Wednesday, January 7, 2015

**INCIDENTS**

 

Strangulation | Carjacking | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On January 5th at 3:58PM, offices responded to the 3000 block of Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 24 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused were driving in the above area when a verbal altercation ensued. During the argument, the accused began choking the victim. At that point, the victim pulled into the parking lot of Woodbridge Senior High School where the accused forced the victim out of the vehicle and started to drive away. Before leaving the parking lot, the accused drove the vehicle towards the victim. The accused returned twice and attempted to take the victim’s phone away as she was on the phone with police. After that encounter, the accused fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the accused.

O’Danthay Dominique CRAIG, 24, of 7441 Willoughby Ln in Manassas

Descried as a black male, 5’8”, 200lbs with a heavy build, dark complexion, long black dreadlocks, a beard, brown eyes and a tattoo on his right arm

Wanted for strangulation, carjacking, attempted malicious wounding and attempted strong armed robbery

 

Armed Robbery – On January 6th at 11:21PM, officers responded to the Wytestone Suites located at 14525 Gideon Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.  The hotel clerk reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and approached the counter. After inquiring about a room, the man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’9”, 180lbs with a thin build, dark complexion, collar length black dreadlocks and a clean shaven face

Last seen wearing light colored sweatshirt with horizontal blue stripes, gray pants and a black knit cap

 

Attempted Armed Robbery | Abduction – On January 6th at 9:47PM, officers responded to the 16500 block of Reservoir Lp in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted robbery. The victim, a 62 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was getting out of his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect ordered the victim to get into the victim’s vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect demanded the victim drive him anywhere. At that point, the victim began to yell and the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported and no property was taken. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Black male, between 25 & 27 years of age, 5’9”, 180lbs with a medium build and light complexion

Last seen wearing a black winter coat, black mask and gloves

 

Residential Burglary – On January 6th at 1:34PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Arum Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:15AM and 1:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a side window which was broken out. A gaming console, camcorder, iPad and laptop were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On January 5th at 6:46PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2800 block of Bowes Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The caller reported to police that sometime between 4:00PM and 11:00PM on January 4th, entry was made into a neighbor’s residence in the above area. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear window which was broken out. No property was reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On January 5th at 5:33PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 11200 block of Golden Leaf Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police the burglary occurred between 1:00PM and 3:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a bedroom window which was forced open. A gaming console and shoes were reported missing.

 

Commercial Burglary – On January 5th at 4:36PM, officers responded to the Public Storage located at 7901 Centreville Rd in Manassas (20110) to investigate a burglary. The business manager reported to police the burglary occurred between 5:15PM on January 4th and 9:30PM on January 5th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a company storage locker located on the property. Inside the locker, a key was taken which accessed the main office area. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Narcotics Investigation – On December 2nd, members of the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of suspected heroin. The target of the operation, identified as the accused, turned himself into the Adult Detention Center (ADC) on an unrelated charge on December 1st. Information was received that the accused was planning to bring narcotics into the ADC facility. Detectives alerted ADC staff and a search of the accused was conducted. As a result, prescription pills were recovered. A search warrant was also obtained and executed at the residence of the accused located at 11308 Smithfield Rd in Manassas (20112). During the search, drug paraphernalia, money, lottery tickets and records & documents were located. Following the investigation, the accused was charged. This investigation was previously held for investigative purposes.
