On July 30th, Chief Steve Hudson presented Ms. Machelle Montgomery with a certificate after she was named the first “Civilian of the Quarter” for the Prince William County Police Department.
A representative with Girl Scout Troop 2015 in Haymarket wrote the department to commend Ms. Montgomery. Ms. Montgomery was praised for teaching various aspects on safety to the scouts and their leaders at a fundraiser they held to benefit the participation of less fortunate scouts. The letter highlighted Ms. Montgomery’s demeanor and the level of professionalism she displayed which left a positive impression with all who attended.
Lt Colonel Barry Barnard expressed his appreciation to Ms. Montgomery, “Thank you for representing the Prince William County Police Department in the best possible way. Your efforts and experience are most appreciated. I am pleased to commend you for a job well done, and I encourage you to keep up the fine work.”
