**ARRESTS**
Rape – On August 13, 2013 at 2:46PM, police responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 8000 block of Crescent Park Drive in Gainesville (20155). The investigation revealed the victim, a 24 year old woman of Gainesville, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, while residing at the residence in the above area. Following the investigation the accused was subsequently arrested.

**INCIDENTS**
Fatal Crash – On August 15, 2013 at 6:08PM, police responded to Featherstone Square located at 14565 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge (22191) for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2005 Hyundai Tucson, while traveling eastbound through the parking lot of Featherstone Square, made a left turn into the path of a 2012 Chongqig Renegade Moped. The driver of the moped was unable to stop and ultimately collided with the Hyundai. The driver of the moped was flown to an area hospital where he died from his injuries later in the evening.
Identified:The driver of the 2012 Chongqig Renegade Moped, the deceased, was identified as Ray A. DAUGHERTY, 53, of Woodbridge, VA
The driver of the 2005 Hyundai Tucson was identified as a 26 year old man of Charlotte, North Carolina. Investigation continues.
Attempted Strong Armed Robbery – On August 15, 2013 at 11:21PM, police responded to the area of 10920 Coverstone Drive, Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The victim, a 24 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was riding his bike in the above area when he was approached by three unknown males. Two of the men allegedly punched the victim in the face and held him down while attempting to remove his backpack. The third man allegedly attempted to remove items from the victim’s pocket. All three men departed from the area when the victim yelled for assistance. No items were reported as taken from victim. A minor injury was reported.

All were last seen wearing black or gray hooded sweatshirts
Commercial Burglary – On August 16, 2013 at 3:23PM, police responded to Hair Cuttery located at 5155 Waterway Drive, Dumfries (22026) for a burglary. An employee reported to police the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on August 15th and 3:23AM on August 16th. Entry is believed to have been made by breaking the glass front door of the business. No items were reported as missing.
Commercial Burglary – On August 15, 2013 at 7:23AM, police responded to Lake Ridge Dental Care located at 13625 Office Place, Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. An employee reported to police the burglary occurred between 6:07PM on August 14th and 6:05AM on August 15th. Entry is believed to have been made by breaking a rear window to the business. Two laptops were reported as missing.
