**INCIDENTS**
Commercial Burglary – On May 8th at 12:01AM, officers responded to Merchant’s Tire located at 7880 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Police arrived at the business and discovered the glass on one of the garage doors was broken out. Officers checked the business and did not locate a suspect(s). A cash register was found damaged. No property was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).
Commercial Burglary – On May 7th at 12:20AM, officers responded to Sloper’s Stitch House located at 10560 Associates Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Police arrived at business and discovered a front window was broken out. Officers checked the business and did not locate a suspect(s). A cash register, containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, was reported missing. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect(s).
Residential Burglary – On May 6th at 11:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7300 block of Brunson Cir in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00PM and 11:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into an attached garage through an open door. No entry was made into the main residence. A bike and a pair of rollerblades, total value around $350, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On May 6th at 7:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Aldie Rd in Catharpin (20143) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:50PM and 7:10PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a side door which was forced open. A TV and laptop, valued around $1,300, were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Malicious Wounding | Abduction – On May 5th at 11:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Gableridge Tn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Alexandria, reported to police that he went to meet the accused, a known acquaintance, at his address in the above area. Once there, a verbal altercation ensued between the two parties which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, ordered her into a bathtub where he then proceeded to forcibly cut the victim’s hair and clothing with a pair of scissors. The victim struggled and sustained deep cuts to her hands. Following the investigation, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit obtained warrants against the accused who turned himself into police later that evening.
