Daily Incident Report for Thursday, December 4, 2014

**INCIDENTS**

 

Residential Burglary – On December 3rd at 11:13AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Anchorage Cove in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary to a vacant home. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 9:00AM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Miscellaneous tools and building supplies were reported missing.

 

Commercial Burglary – On December 3rd at 10:30AM, officers responded to Penny’s II Savage located at 13304 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30PM on December 2nd and 8:00AM on December 3rd. The investigation revealed that entry was made into one of the garages to the business through a door which was pried open. Vehicles located on the property were also entered. Copper and electrical wiring, catalytic converters and aluminum wheels were reported missing.

 

Commercial Burglary – On December 3rd at 10:09AM, officers responded to a multiuse office building located at 17739 Main St in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The property manager reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM on December 1st and 9:00AM on December 3rd. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the lobby area of the building. There were no signs of forced entry. A TV was reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault | Destruction of Property – On December 3rd at 10:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7600 block of Somerset Ln in Manassas (20110) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 46 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to his residence to confront a female acquaintance over an ongoing issue. During the encounter, the accused began to pound on the front door and, at one point, attempted to forcibly enter the residence once being confronted by the victim to leave. The accused also broke a window to the residence and caused damage to the front door. Officers arrived and detained the accused without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Arrested on December 3rd:

Emilio Martin VEGA, 21, of 8414 Rugby Rd in Manassas

Charged with burglary and destruction of property

Court date: January 23, 2015 | Bond: $7,000 secured
