**UPDATES**

 

Abduction | Residential Burglary *ARREST – Through an extensive investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit were able to determine that three males were involved in the burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3800 block of Fortuna Ct in Woodbridge on November 5th. On January 16th, detectives were able to locate and arrest one of the three men involved. The two other men involved remain unidentified. The investigation continues.

Abduction | Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On November 5th at 10:43PM, police responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Fortuna Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The victim, a 14 year old boy of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside his residence when someone knocked on the door. Upon answering, two men forcibly entered the home. Once inside, the men tied up the victim and put him in a bathroom. The men then took multiple small electronics and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area, possibly in a vehicle. Detectives from the Robbery Unit are investigating this incident which, at this time, is not believed to be random. The investigation continues.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Abduction | Rape – On January 16th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 13500 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) between 12:00AM and 1:00AM. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 13 year old girl of Woodbridge, was walking in the area above with two known male acquaintances when the victim and one of the males, the accused, got into a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused sexually assaulted the victim on more than one occasion. The second male attempted to intervene during the assaults. Following the investigation, detectives obtained charges against the accused.

Narcotics Investigation – On January 16th, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force concluded a two month long narcotics investigation involving the selling of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 9088 McClellan Commons (20110). During the search, suspected cocaine and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident.

**UPDATES**

     

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery *ARRESTS – On January 18th, detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify and arrest the two suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 10400 block of Stonington Ln in Manassas on January 16th. Both suspects are juveniles and were arrested without incident.

Both juveniles were charged with malicious wounding and robbery

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On January 16th at 12:54AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 10400 block of Stonington Ln in Manassas (20109) around 10:39PM on January 15th. The victim, a 17 year old male of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by two known male acquaintances.  During the encounter, the males punched the victim in his face, searched his pockets, and kicked his head after he fell to the ground.  Both males fled the scene when the encounter was interrupted by a family member of the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital where police were contacted. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. This incident does not appear to be random.

 

**INCIDENTS**

 

Armed Robbery – On January 17th at 9:12PM, officers responded to the 4200 block of Seeton Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the area above when he was approached by a vehicle with three unknown male occupants. The men asked to use the victim’s phone and when the victim refused, one of the men grabbed the phone. The victim attempted to retrieve his phone, at which point, the man displayed a knife and threatened him. The men fled the area in the vehicle prior to police arrival. No injuries were reported. The victim was only able to describe the suspect as black males.      

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On January 20th at 2:21AM, officers responded to 90 Degrees Bar and Restaurant located at 8509 Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. Officers arrived and located four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All of the victims, two men and two women, were transported to area hospitals. Three of the victims have been treated and released. The remaining victim, a woman, is still being hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation into the shooting revealed that the suspect, later identified as the accused, had been removed from the bar by security shortly after 2:00AM. Once outside, the accused got into his vehicle and drove by the front of the establishment where he opened fire, striking the victims. Officers arrived at the scene quickly and were able to broadcast a description of the accused and the vehicle to adjoining agencies. A Manassas City Police officer located the vehicle and detained the suspect following a traffic stop. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with 4 counts of aggravated malicious wounding, 4 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, 1 count of shooting into an occupied dwelling, and 1 count of shooting from a moving vehicle

Strong Armed Robbery | Grand Larceny – On January 17th at 6:45AM, officers responded to the Horner Commuter Lot located at 2250 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking through the parking lot when she was approached by an unknown vehicle occupied by a male driver. Once close, the driver grabbed the victim’s purse which was hanging around her shoulder. The victim was dragged a short distance before the purse became free. The driver immediately fled the area. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officers then responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) around 9:01AM to investigate a second robbery. The victim in that incident, 37 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. The man knocked her to the ground before taking her purse and getting into a vehicle matching the description of the robbery earlier in the day. The victim sustained minor injuries. Officers then responded to Soul Food Restaurant located at 13325 Woodbridge St in Woodbridge (22191) around 3:28PM to investigate a larceny. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and approached the counter. Once the employee turned away, the man grabbed the cash register and fled the store. The man was seen getting into a vehicle matching that of both robberies and fled the area. Responding officers located the vehicle on Jefferson Davis Hwy near the Prince William Pkwy. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was taken into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the driver, identified as the accused, was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery – On January 19th at 10:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy (22191) to investigate a burglary. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, forced his way into her residence through the front door and assaulted her. The victim attempted to call police, at which point, the accused grabbed the phone. After the assault, the accused fled the residence. A police K-9 was used to search for the accused.  The accused turned himself into police on January 20th.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 17th at 7:28PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18200 block of Graham Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and strangled her. Another resident of the home was able to intervene and separate the accused from the victim. The victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Indecent Exposure – On January 16th at 8:05AM, officers responded to Palm Beach Tan located at 5071 Wellington Rd in Manassas (20155) to investigate a report of an indecent exposure.  An employee of the business reported to police that she observed an unknown man expose himself through a window while he was standing outside of the business.  After exposing himself the man fled from the area prior to police arrival.  The victim had no contact with the man during the incident.

Suspect Description:

White male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’11”, 180lbs with medium build

Last seen wearing khaki brown pants and a dark colored windbreaker

 

Commercial Burglary– On January 16th at 9:36AM, officers responded to the Domino’s Corporate Office located at 7045 Gateway Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on January 15th and 9:25AM on January 16th when an unknown person(s) broke the glass on the front door and entered the business. Three televisions, valued around $1,400, were reported as missing.          

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Rape | Strangulation – On January 20th at 10:23AM, police responded to the 15300 block of Inlet Pl in Dumfries (22025) for a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 31 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that on January 19th she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the victim was sexually assaulted and strangled by the accused. Following the assault, the accused took the victim’s cell phone. The victim contacted police when the cell phone was returned the next day. The accused was on scene when police arrived at the above location and was arrested without incident.

Rape | Forcible Sodomy – On January 20th at 4:46PM, police responded to the 14000 block of Fallbrook Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a sexual assault. The investigation revealed two victims, a 7 year old female juvenile and a 10 year old male juvenile, both of Woodbridge, were sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a family member identified as the accused.  Following the investigation the accused was arrested without incident and transported to the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.

Burglary | Destruction of Property – On January 17th at 10:43PM, police responded to the 8000 block of Lacy Dr in Manassas (20109) for a domestic disturbance.  The victim, a 35 year old woman of Manassas, contacted police when her estranged boyfriend, later identified as the accused, attempted to gain entry to her apartment by kicking open the front door.  The accused was unable to gain entry and ultimately fled from the scene prior to police arrival.  The accused was later located by police and arrested without incident.

Residential Burglary Series *ARREST – On January 17th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to connect Sylvester DAWSON to a series of burglaries which occurred on Horizon Ct and Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) since October of 2013. In total, the accused has been charged in connection to seven burglaries in that area. The accused was recently arrested on January 15th (incident and arrest previously released) after a burglary in progress was reported at a residence on Horizon Ct. Following the investigation, the accused was charged.

Arrested January 17th:

Sylvester Earl DAWSON, 47, of 14938 Enterprise Ln in Woodbridge

Additionally charged with 6 counts of burglary

Previously charged with burglary and possession of burglarious tools

Court date: March 4, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

 

Residential Burglary | Possession of Burglarious Tools [Previously Released] On January 15th at 2:16AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the resident of the apartment was awoken by a pet alerting to a sound at one of the windows. The resident contacted police who arrived at the above location to find the accused attempting to gain entry to the residence through a secured window.  The accused was taken into custody by police after a brief foot pursuit.  No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported as missing.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On January 14th at 5:31PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The resident of the apartment reported to police that between 4:00PM on January 13th and 4:30PM on January 14th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through window. The window was secure and no entry was made into the residence. No property was reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 13th at 7:23AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a reported burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she awoke to a noise coming from another area of the apartment. Upon checking the apartment, she observed an unknown man in her kitchen. The resident immediately went back to her bedroom and contacted police. The suspect fled prior to police arriving at the residence. Officers set up a perimeter around the neighbor and a police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. A laptop and wallet, total value around $440, were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 5th at 3:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM and 2:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. Laptop and network routers, total value around $860, were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] On January 2nd at 3:12AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The resident reported to police that she was sleeping in her bedroom when she awoke to an unknown man going through her dresser. Once discovered, the man fled on foot. Entry appeared to have been made into the home through a window. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Miscellaneous items from the resident’s purse were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On December 17th at 4:51PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:10AM and 6:15PM on December 16th. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecure window.  Jewelry, a camera and miscellaneous electronics, valued around $920, were reported as missing.

 

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On October 16th at 8:57PM, officers responded to the report of a burglary that occurred between October 11th and October 13th in the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191).  The reporting person stated that a work laptop was missing from the residence.  The value of the missing computer is unknown.  There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.

 

**INCIDENTS**

 

Residential Burglary – On January 22nd at 6:10PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4500 block of Daisy Reid Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.  The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM on November 27th and 5:00PM on December 23rd. There were no signs of forced entry.  It is believed that entry was made by an unknown person(s) who had key access to the apartment.  Jewelry, valued around $875, was reported as missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Felony Child Neglect – On January 22nd at 8:34AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11800 block of Frank Haskell Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a child neglect call. The victim, a 4 year old boy, called 911 and advised that he needed assistance because he was hungry. Officers arrived at the residence and located to the child who was found to be home alone. The mother of the victim, identified as the accused, eventually returned home as officers were still on scene. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Assault & Battery | Destruction of Property – On January 21st at 11:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Mariner Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary which was reported to have occurred on January 18th around 12:30AM. The victim, a 57 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was approached by two unknown men while walking her dog outside of her residence.  During the encounter, the men asked the victim a question after which the victim returned to her residence.  Once inside, the victim heard her front door being kicked open and then saw the two men enter the residence.  Once inside the men encountered a second victim, a 22 year old man of Woodbridge, and began to assault him.  The encounter ended when another occupant of the residence separated the men. The unknown men were escorted outside and fled the area on foot.  Following the investigation, one of the men was identified as the accused, a known acquaintance of the second victim. After identified, the accused was located by police at a nearby residence and was subsequently arrested without further incident.  The identity of the second male remains unknown. This appears to have occurred as a result of an ongoing dispute between the accused and the second victim.  No injuries were reported.

Homicide Investigation | Murder *ARREST – On January 23rd, detectives from the Homicide Unit were able to identify and arrest the suspect involved in the murder investigation of Charlie ADKINS which occurred at his home in the 3400 block of Caledonia Cir in Woodbridge on November 12th. Detectives were able to identify the accused after forensic evidence collected at the scene was analyzed. The accused and the victim are known to one another. The accused was arrested without incident. Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at the home of the accused.

                James Willie BETHEA, 47, of 3432 Caledonia Cir in Woodbridge

 

                Charged with murder

Homicide Investigation | Murder [Previously Released] On November 12th at 8:14PM, police responded to a residence located in the 3400 block of Caledonia Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a suspicious death. The caller reported to police that she went to visit her friend who resided at a home in the above area. Upon arriving, the caller found the door to the residence unsecured and contacted police. Officers arrived and conducted a search of the home, finding the victim inside the residence. The victim had sustained an injury to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was reportedly last seen on Sunday, November 10th. At this time, detectives from the Homicide Unit are currently investigating this death as a murder. On November 13th, detectives from the Homicide Unit released the name of the victim involved in the murder. No arrest has been made. Detectives are still investigating this incident and are asking for the public’s help in providing any information which will aide in the investigation. This is Prince William County’s fifth murder of 2013.

                The victim has been identified as a Charlie Duncan ADKINS, 78, of Woodbridge

 

  

**ARRESTS**

 

 

 

Abduction – On January 23rd at 10:23AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of McClellan Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate an abduction. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was visiting the accused, a known acquaintance, at his residence in the above area. During the visit, the two became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the accused shoved the victim onto a bed and refused to allow her to leave. After a short time, the victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

                Charged with abduction

 

Victim obtained additional charges including stalking, threatening or harassing phone calls, and purchasing alcohol for a person under 21

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Reckless Handling of Firearm – On January 23rd at 11:30PM, officers responded to the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that a large group was arguing just outside of the apartment complex. During the encounter, one of the parties involved fired a gun into the air and fled on foot. The rest of the group dispersed prior to officers arriving in the area. The witness was able to provide a description of the shooter to police. An officer located the suspect who was armed with the handgun and pointed it towards the officer. The officer challenged the suspect and was able to take him into custody without further incident. No injuries or property damage were reported and the initial call was for a verbal argument only, no physical altercation took place.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Residential Burglary – On January 26th at 1:15PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5300 block of Yorktown Run Ct in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:10PM on January 11th and 8:00PM on January 25th. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence.  Entry is believed to have been made by a previous tenant utilizing a key to a secure door. A package of unknown value was reported missing.

 

Commercial Burglary – On January 24th at 3:35AM, officers responded to the business, Academy Bus, located at 7920 Gainsford Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:45AM on January 23rd and 3:35AM on January 24th. Entry appeared to have been made into a garage area of the business. Commercial Burglary – On January 23rd at 4:00PM, officers responded to the business, Temp Power, located at 12259 Livingston Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary.  The owner of the business reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:38PM and 12:45PM on January 18th.  The burglary was captured on a video surveillance system which revealed an unknown man enter the business through an unsecure garage door.  Cables, valued around $6,600, were reported missing.

White male, between 25 & 40 years of age, 5’11”, 200lbs

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 26th at 6:18PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Langstone Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 10:00PM on January 24th and 4:00AM on January 26th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a basement level door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 24th at 4:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Orland Stone Dr on Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 11:00AM and 2:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through the front door which was found damaged.  No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Indecent Liberties – On January 22nd at 3:01PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 7500 block of Gales Ct in Manassas (20109) between April and May of 2013. The investigation revealed that the victim, 4 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion during the time frame above. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 24th.

Bank Robbery – On January 27th at 4:50PM, police responded to the BB&T Bank located at 13414 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery.  Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank, approached the counter, presented a bag and demanded money. The employee placed an undisclosed amount of US Currency in the bag which was taken by the man before fleeing from the bank in an unknown direction. Further investigation and video surveillance obtained from the bank led detectives to the identity of the man who was located at his residence and arrested without incident. Investigation continues.

The accused was under the influence of alcohol and became aggressive toward an officer as he attempted to arrest him. The accused actively resisted arrest which led to a struggle.  The accused was eventually detained without further incident.  No injuries were reported.

Strong Armed Robbery – On January 27th at 3:06PM, police responded to the 4900 block of Karen Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.  The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was approached by an unknown male, later identified as the accused, while playing basketball in the above area. During the encounter, the accused questioned the victim about the contents of his pants pocket.  When the victim refused to identify the contents, the accused advanced toward the victim and grabbed a cell phone contained in the victim’s pocket.  After grabbing the cell phone the accused fled from the area in a vehicle parked nearby.  When the accused departed from the area, the victim returned to his residence and contacted police.  During investigation police were able identify and locate the accused. Once located, the accused was arrested without incident and transported to the juvenile detention center. This incident does not appear to be random.  No injuries were reported.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Residential Burglary – On January 28th at 5:56PM, police responded to the 7400 block of Parrish Lane to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 4:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry.  It is believed that entry was made through an unsecure window.  A television, valued around $700, was reported as missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

Indecent Exposure – On January 27th at 10:28PM, police responded to the Denny’s Restaurant located at 13775 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for an indecent exposure. Employees of the establishment reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, exposed himself while seated at one of the tables.  Police encountered the accused, who initially departed from the establishment but returned while police were still on scene.  Police arrested him without incident.

Narcotics Investigation – On January 29th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving marijuana.  As a result of the investigation two search warrants were obtained and executed in the 10200 block of Ginny Wy in Manassas (20110) and 8400 block of Jones St in Manassas (20112).  As a result of the investigation marijuana, firearms and other evidence were recovered.  The following arrests were also made without incident.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Armed Robbery – On January 30th at 11:07PM, officers responded to the 6208 block of Oscar Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was picked up at her residence by two other female acquaintances. The three women then picked up an unknown man in the area of Dale Blvd and Hoadly Rd to conduct a transaction. The man then told the women to drive him to Oscar Ct where he displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of her wallet. Following the encounter, the man fled on foot. No injuries were reported. This incident is not random.

Suspect Description:

Black male, between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’7”, 160lbs with a medium build

Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and pink bandana

 

Strong Armed Robbery – On January 29th at 8:47PM, officers responded to the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 40 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking up to his residence in the above area when he was approached by four unknown men. The men assaulted the victim and took his backpack and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 Was used to search for the suspects.

Suspect Descriptions:

4 black males, all reported to be between 18 & 21 years of age, 5’7”-6’0” with medium builds – two of the men were described as being light skinned while the other two were dark skinned

All were last seen wearing dark colored clothing

 

Commercial Burglary – On January 29th at 9:00AM, officers responded to the business, Divine Styles & Cuts, located at 17080 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00PM on January 28th and 8:30AM on January 29th. Entry was made into the business through a rear door. Electronic hair clippers, valued around $460, were reported missing.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 30th at 8:00PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of G St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that sometime between 12:00PM on January 29th and 8:00PM on January 30th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Armed Robbery | Abduction | Gang Participation – On January 30th at 9:30AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 7300 block of Miramar Dr in Manassas (20109) on January 29th around 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 16 year old male and a 15 year old male – both of Manassas, were walking in the area above when they encountered a group of other juvenile males. The group claimed to be affiliated with MS-13 and made threats towards the victims. At one point, the group attempted to pull both victims behind a building in the area. One of the victims was able to get free and fled the area. The remaining victim was assaulted by the group and robbed at knife point.  No injuries were reported. Through the investigation, officers were able to identify and arrest three of the suspects involved in the incident. The investigation continues into the identity and arrest of the additional suspects.

**INCIDENTS**

  

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 1st at 12:54AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Quade Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an initial report of a stabbing. As officers were arriving in the area, they heard a single gunshot in the vicinity. At that point, several attendees of party began to disperse. Officers were eventually able to determine that an altercation had taken place inside the residence between known acquaintances. During the encounter, one of the persons involved inadvertently cut himself with a knife prompting the initial call to police. Officers were not able to locate the source of the gunfire. No injuries or property damage were reported.

 

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 1st at 3:02AM, officers responded to the area of Otto Rd and Opal Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Caller reported to police that two gunshots were heard in the area. Officers arrived and determined that there was a large party at an address on Otto Rd when an altercation took place. During the encounter, gunshots were heard before the party dispersed. No injuries or property damage wee reported.  

 

Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 9:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18900 block of Barnette Cir in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that she believed that her home was burglarized on two separate occasions. The homeowner stated that on December 11th, unknown person(s) entered the residence at some point during the day. There were no signs of forced entry and the homeowner did not report the incident to police at that time. The homeowner further reported that on January 27th while away from her residence she was contacted by her alarm company regarding an alarm at the residence. Police responded and found an unsecure door. Police checked the residence without incident and secured the door prior to departing. On February 2nd, an undisclosed amount of US Currency, a purse and miscellaneous jewelry were reported as missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 10:05AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Bjork Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:30PM on January 31st and 9:55AM on February 2nd. Entry was made into the home through rear window which was broken out. Jewelry, an iPad, and laptop, total valued around $1,300, were reported missing.

 

Commercial Burglary – On February 2nd at 7:50AM, officers responded to the Piedmont Golf Club located at 14675 Piedmont Vista Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary.  An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred at 2:30AM when unknown person(s) activated the alarm to the business. Police were not notified when the initial alarm was activated. There were no signs of forced entry.  Entry is believed to have made into the garage area of the business.  Multiple golf carts, valued around $5,600, were found damaged.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 2nd at 5:10AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Augustus Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 4:40AM, he was in his basement when he heard his dog barking from an upper floor. When the homeowner checked the residence, he observed an unknown man poking his head through the front door. The homeowner yelled towards the man who then immediately fled on foot. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

Aggravated Sexual Assault | Abduction – On February 2nd at 12:21PM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 10300 block of Launch Cir in Manassas (20109) on February 1st. The victim, a 63 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, held her against her will and sexually assaulted while he was visiting her residence in the above area on the night of February 1st. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Sexual Assault – On December 19th [2013] at 2:25PM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at the Dumfries Health Center located at 3700 Fettler Park Dr in Dumfries (22026) in September of 2012. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, was a patient at the center in 2012 and under the care of the accused, an Occupational Therapist.  The investigation revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused on at least one occasion while in his care during that time. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested on January 31st in connection to the assault.

Malicious Wounding – On January 30th at 10:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Guilford Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 51 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, was arguing with her roommate when he attempted to calm her down. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and swung it towards the victim making contact with his arm, causing a minor cut. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 2nd at 9:51PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Cordell Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic disturbance.  The victim, a 33 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, entered her residence through a window and hid in a closet located in the kitchen.  When the victim entered the kitchen the accused exited from the closet, grabbed the victim by the neck, and held a broken bottle to her face.  The victim immediately yelled for help and the accused fled from the residence on foot.  When police arrived, they encountered the accused in the above area and arrested him after a brief foot chase through the neighborhood. Minor, non-life threatening injuries were reported.

Officers arrived in the area and were able located the intruder, identified as the accused, not far from the above area where he was arrested him without incident.  No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

Narcotics Investigation | Armed Robbery *UPDATE – On January 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of prescription pills with the execution of a search warrant at 13077 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana and pills were recovered. Also during the search, evidence in reference to the January 10th robbery at the Walgreens on Hoadly Rd was recovered. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect as Timothy MCARTHUR in that case and obtain warrants. The two other suspects arrested in regard to the narcotics investigation were not involved in the robbery.

there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded Oxycodone. The man took the medication and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. Driving under the Influence | Felony Eluding – On February 1st at 1:32AM, a Prince William County police officer attempted a traffic stop in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Neabsco Rd in Woodbridge (22191). The driver ignored the officer’s emergency equipment and continued down several roads before eventually getting onto Dale Blvd then I-95 southbound. The vehicle continued on I-95S before exiting onto Dumfries Rd. The driver stopped the vehicle near his address on Antrim Cir. Once stopped, the driver and passenger fled on foot. Following a short foot chase, both suspects were apprehended. Officers determined the driver, identified as Derrick MARKS, was under the influence of alcohol.

Use of a Communication System to Facilite Certain Offenses On February 2nd at 5:02AM, detectives from the Special Victims Unit began an investigation involving inappropriate messages received by the victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Haymarket (20136), from an adult identified as the accused.  The investigation revealed that the victim had met the accused through an online application in 2013. During the course of their relationship, the accused exchanged sexually explicit messages and photos with the victim via his cell phone. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 2nd at 5:07PM, officers responded to the Wegman’s located at 14801 Dining Way in Woodbridge (22191) for the report of a person trespassing on the premises.  Officers arrived and located the person, later identified as the accused, inside the store.  During the encounter, the accused provided officers with false information regarding her identification. Officers were eventually able to identify the accused as Evern SHARPE. Officer’s handcuffed the accused, at which point, she became aggressive toward them. The accused lunged towards and kicked an officer attempting to search her belongings.  When officers attempted to escort the accused from the building, an unidentified man approached the officers from behind in an aggressive manner and attempted to separate the accused from officers. This person was later identified as an acquaintance of the accused, Abdul CONTEH.When CONTEH made contact with officers a struggle ensued. At one point, CONTEH struck an officer in the face.  After the struggle, CONTEH was eventually detained and subsequently escorted from the store, along with SHARPE, without further incident. No injuries were reported.

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery | Gang Participation – On February 4th at 4:01PM, officers responded to Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight resulting in a stabbing. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that he was standing outside of the mall, near the food court entrance when he was surrounded by a group of other juvenile males claiming to be from MS13. During the encounter, the group assaulted the victim and slashed him multiple times to the upper body with pocket knives. The group dispersed prior to police arriving at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The group of male juvenile suspects was known to the victim. Detectives from the Gang Unit responded and were able to identify three of the assailants, two of which have since been arrested. This is incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Commercial Burglary – On February 6th at 1:30AM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate an alarm activation at the store.  An employee of the alarm company reported to police that video surveillance revealed an unknown man had shattered the glass on the front door of the store.  After the glass was shattered, the man was observed entering the store and grabbing multiple boxes of cigarettes before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.  When police arrived, a K-9 officer was utilized to assist in the search, but was not able to locate the suspect. Multiple boxes of cigarettes, valued around $1,200, were reported missing.

White male with heavy build – no further description

Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 7:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 19100 block of Wayne Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to the police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 7:30PM.  There were no signs of forced entry. Multiple computers, a hard drive, miscellaneous jewelry, and undisclosed amount of US currency, total value around $790, were reported missing.

 

Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 4:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00AM and 4:00PM. Entry into the home was made through an unsecured window. An iPads, two iPods, a tablet, and three computers, total value around $5,440, were reported missing.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 5th at 10:33PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Landover Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that at around 10:15PM, she entered her kitchen and observed an unknown male attempting to open a window. The man fled from the area when observed by the homeowner. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. The homeowner was unable to describe the suspect.

Attempted Murder | Attempted Armed Robbery *ADDITIONAL CHARGES | ARRESTS – On February 6th, detectives from the Robbery Unit continued the investigation into the shots fired call which was reported in the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge on January 23rd. Detectives learned that AGOSTO and two other suspects, identified as SEGARRA and SETTLES, had made arrangements to meet with the victim, a 19 year old man of Woodbridge, in the above area to conduct a transaction. Detectives further learned that the group intended to rob the victim during the encounter. This lead to a physical altercation and further resulted in the suspect, AGOSTO, firing a gun shot. Following the investigation, all three suspects were arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Reckless Handling of Firearm [Previously Released]On January 23rd at 11:30PM, officers responded to the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that a large group was arguing just outside of the apartment complex. During the encounter, one of the parties involved fired a gun into the air and fled on foot. The rest of the group dispersed prior to officers arriving in the area. The witness was able to provide a description of the shooter to police. An officer located the suspect who was armed with the handgun and pointed it towards the officer. The officer challenged the suspect and was able to take him into custody without further incident. No injuries or property damage were reported and the initial call was for a verbal argument only, no physical altercation took place.                      

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Wanted Fugitive – On February 6th at 1:30PM, a Manassas City police officer observed a vehicle, bearing Pennsylvania license plates, in the area of Dumfries Rd and Winterset Dr in the City of Manassas (20110). After running the license plate, the officer discovered that the vehicle was connected to a homicide investigation in Johnstown, PA. The officer activated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver did not stop and a pursuit was initiated which continued into Prince William County where the driver lost control of the vehicle and run up on a sidewalk in the area of the Prince William Pkwy near Tattersall Dr. A passenger in the vehicle remained at the scene and was detained without incident. The driver, identified as Earl Patrick MITCHELL, immediately fled on foot into a nearby residential and wooded area. Officers determined that MITCHELL was the suspect sought on an active warrant by Pennsylvania authorities in connection to the homicide. This information prompted a massive police response and extensive search of the area. After Prince William County Police and Manassas City Police activated a Unified Command Post, officers and K-9’s from Prince William County Police, Manassas City Police, and Virginia State Police, aided by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and aerial support from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter, conducted a seven hour manhunt for MITCHELL. Area schools were notified of the incident and took necessary precautions while officers limited access to certain residential areas where MITCHELL was believed to be in hiding. Shortly after 8:00PM, during a methodical search of a surrounding neighborhood, officers received information that MITCHELL was possibly in the basement area of a home on Mineral Springs Dr. The suspect was believed to have entered the residence through an unsecured rear door. Two Prince William County police officers, a Manassas City police officer, and a police K-9 searched the residence and located MITCHELL hiding in a storage area in the basement of the home. The suspect was apprehended without incident and was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. Two residents of the home encountered the armed suspect and attempted to calm him down for several hours. At one point, MITCHELL became distracted and the men were able to flee the residence. Notification was made to nearby officers who searched the home, ultimately finding MITCHELL. No injuries were reported. The suspect is currently being held in the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center in Manassas. Armed Robbery | Abduction – On February 6th at 7:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary in progress. The victim, a 61 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that three suspects forcibly entered his home and assaulted him with an aluminum bat before restraining him with duct tape. Once restrained, the suspects took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and other items before fleeing the area. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. *This incident is not random. The investigation continues.

 

Residential Burglary – On February 6th at 10:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Darton Woods Lp in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 3:15PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry into the home is believed to have been made by someone known to the homeowner. A safe containing miscellaneous property was reported missing.

Armed Robbery | Abduction | Gang Participation [Previously Released] On January 30th at 9:30AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 7300 block of Miramar Dr in Manassas (20109) on January 29th around 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 16 year old male and a 15 year old male – both of Manassas, were walking in the area above when they encountered a group of other juvenile males. The group claimed to be affiliated with MS-13 and made threats towards the victims. At one point, the group attempted to pull both victims behind a building in the area. One of the victims was able to get free and fled the area. The remaining victim was assaulted by the group and robbed at knife point.  No injuries were reported. Through the investigation, officers were able to identify and arrest three of the suspects involved in the incident. The investigation continues into the identity and arrest of the additional suspects.

Strong Armed Robbery – On February 10th at 3:56AM, officers responded to the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 1480 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 66 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that while outside of the above location, an unknown man approached her from behind, grabbed her and threw her to the ground causing her to strike her head. While the victim was on the ground the man fled the area in the victim’s car. The vehicle was later located unoccupied by police in a surrounding jurisdiction. The victim was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

The victim attempted to intervene, at which point, the altercation turned physical. During the encounter, the accused pulled out a pocket knife and cut the victim’s finger. Minor injuries were reported. Another resident of the home was able to contact police. The accused fled prior to police arrival at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery | Assault & Battery – On February 9th at 12:32AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Montega Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 29 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the accused knocked the victim to the ground and physically held her down. The accused also threw a bowl of cereal at the victim’s 5 year old son. No injuries were reported. The victim was able to contact police. The accused fled prior to police arrival at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:22AM and 5:10PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. Jewelry, valued around $100,000, was reported missing.

 

*Residential Burglary – On February 7th at 4:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Covered Bridge Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM and 3:00PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. Jewelry, valued around $1,500, was reported missing.

The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:15AM and 3:15AM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level sliding glass door which was broken out. *Residential Burglary – On February 7th at 3:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Sunny Brook Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:10PM and 3:25PM. Entry was made into the home through a basement level window which was broken out. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On February 8th at 7:06PM, officers responded to a business, American Auto Salvage, located at 14210 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 1:20AM and 2:00AM on February 4th. Video surveillance revealed two unknown men enter the business through an unsecure door.  Miscellaneous tools and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, valued around $4750, were reported as missing.

White male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 6’0”, 225lbs with a heavy build

Attempted Burglary – On February 8th at 11:39PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15900 block of Marlington Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowners reported to police that they were awakened by two loud sounds coming from the front door of their residence.  When police arrived they observed a foot print on the front door and damage to the door frame.  Entry was not made into the residence and no property was reported missing. A suspect description was not reported.

 

Attempted Burglary – On February 7th at 9:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Freda Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 5:00PM and 7:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to break a window to the residence. The homeowner was not at the residence at the time of the incident. Entry was not made into the residence and no items were reported as missing.

 

**ARRESTS**

 

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Eluding – On February 9th at 8:29PM, a Prince William County police officer observed a vehicle operating in a reckless manner while patrolling in the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Allen Dent Rd in Dumfries (22026).  When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, later identified as the accused, took evasive action crossing multiple lanes of traffic on Jefferson Davis Hwy.  The driver of the vehicle continued into the Princeton Woods development where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot in the area Periscope Pl.  Police pursued the accused on foot and caught up to him not far from where he exited the vehicle. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he struck one of the officers in the face with his elbow. The accused was able to break away and escape into a nearby wooded area.  A police K-9 officer responded and tracked the accused to a residence located in the 3300 block of Vineland Pl in Woodbridge (22026).  Police searched the residence and located the accused hiding in a closet where he was arrested without further incident.  The officer was treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 9th at 3:00AM, officers responded to the 15200 block of Potomac Town Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a report of a suspicious person. When police arrived they found an unknown man, later identified as the accused, sitting on the curb. The accused was found to be disorderly, under the influence of alcohol, and at one point pulled away from officers when they attempted to arrest him. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained and placed inside of a patrol vehicle. While inside the vehicle the accused kicked a window off the track. No injuries were reported.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Attempted Armed Robbery – On February 10th at 9:28PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 13200 block of Nickleson Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on February 9th around 12:00PM. The victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he made arrangements to meet an unknown male in the area above to conduct a transaction. During the encounter, the man displayed a device, similar to an electronic restraint device, and attempted to shock the victim in the stomach.  The victim’s coat was able to block the shock and the victim was able to flee from the area without further incident.  No injuries were reported.  This incident does not appear to be random.

Residential Burglary – On February 10th at 2:24PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4100 block of Southway Ln in Triangle (22172) for a burglary in progress. Maintenance staff reported to police that three unknown males were seen inside of an apartment. Police arrived at the apartment and discovered a rock was used to break a window. Jewelry, multiple gaming consoles, multiple pairs of shoes, and a handgun, total value around $5000, were reported missing. The suspects were not located. This incident does not appear to be random.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 10th at 2:12PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Stone Mountain Ct in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a residential alarm.  When police arrived they discovered a basement level sliding glass door was broken out.  A check of the residence by police revealed entry had not been made into the residence.  No property was reported missing.

 

*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 11:11AM, officers responded to the Asbury United Methodist Church located at 14113 Fleetwood Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at that church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:05PM on February 9th and 10:26AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a basement level window which was pried open. No property was reported missing.

 

*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 9:18AM, officers responded to the Victory Baptist Church located at 12650 Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at the church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30PM on February 9th and 9:16AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a side window which was broken out. Multiple interior doors were also pried open. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

 

*Burglary to a Church – On February 10th at 9:10AM, officers responded to the Nokesville United Methodist Church located at 12550 Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. Staff at the church reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:30PM on February 9th and 9:00AM on February 10th. Entry was made into the church through a front window which was pried open. A safe and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

 

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 10th at 5:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, he knocked her to the ground where he began to strangle her. The victim was able to get to another room in the residence and contact police. The accused fled the residence prior to police arriving at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused who was eventually arrested later in the day without further incident.

**UPDATES**

 

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On February 11th, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the accused in connection to the robbery of the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas which occurred on January 10th. The accused was located at a residence in Winona, West Virginia and was arrested without incident. He is currently awaiting extradition back to Virginia.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] On January 10th at 7:20PM, officers responded to the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. Once there, the man implied he had a weapon and demanded Oxycodone. The man took the medication and fled on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. On January 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the selling of prescription pills with the execution of a search warrant at 13077 Telegraph Rd in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana and pills were recovered. Also during the search, evidence in reference to the January 10th robbery at the Walgreens on Hoadly Rd was recovered. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspect as Timothy MCARTHUR in that case and obtain warrants. The two other suspects arrested in regard to the narcotics investigation were not involved in the robbery.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 11th at 1:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Barnabas Trail in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a residential alarm. When police arrived at the home they discovered a basement level window was broken out. No entry sis believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

 

Indecent Exposure – On February 11th at 8:03AM, officers responded to Palm Beach Tan located at 5071 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an indecent exposure incident. An employee of the business reported to police that she observed an unknown man expose himself through a window while he was standing outside of the business.  After exposing himself the man fled from the area prior to police arrival.  The victim had no contact with the man during the incident. A similar incident was reported at the same location on January 16th. Both suspect descriptions are listed below.

**ARRESTS**

 

Abduction with Intent to Defile On February 11th at 3:54PM officers responded to the 8100 block of Winstead Pl in Manassas (20109) to investigate an abduction. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was approached by an unknown male, later identified as the accused, while walking in the above area. During the encounter, the accused invited the victim to go with the accused to his residence. Upon entry into the residence, the accused locked the door and prevented her from leaving.  The victim was able to flee the residence when she convinced the accused to open the door. The accused was located by police at his residence and arrested without incident.  No injuries were reported.

Armed Robbery – On February 11th at 8:07PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16400 block of Steerage Cl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 15 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to his home to borrow his shoes. The victim refused and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s iPhone. At one point, the accused struck the victim over the head, causing him to lose consciousness. After the assault, the accused fled the home with a small speaker belonging to the victim. Officers were able to identify the accused and locate him at his residence. Following the investigation, the accused, a juvenile, was arrested without incident.

**ARRESTS**  

 

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On February 12th at 8:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Greenacre Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 36 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times to the upper body. Another resident of the home contacted police. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, choked her. Minor injuries were reported. The accused left the residence prior to police arriving at the home. The accused returned to the residence as officers were still on scene and was arrested without further incident.

**INCIDENTS**

 

Assault by Mob – On February 15th at 6:38PM, officers responded to Potomac Mills Mall located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) for a large fight near the food court. Initial reports advised that someone had a gun and that shots were fired. Multiple officers, including officers assigned to the mall, responded to the area and witnessed approximately 20 male juveniles actively fighting. The officers began to disperse the group, at which point, smaller fights began to break out. Officers were eventually able to disperse all parties involved, many of which had fled on foot. While on scene, officers located a victim of the initial fight, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, who reported to them that he was near the food court with friends when they were approached by another group of males. A verbal altercation ensued which escalated physically. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault. No other victims were located. Officers spoke to numerous witnesses of the fight and reviewed security footage. No armed suspect or shooting could be confirmed. No property damage, shell casings, or other evidence of a shooting were located. Detectives are continuing this investigation and are working to identify the other parties involved. This incident is not random.

 

**ARRESTS**

     

Strong Armed Robbery – On February 14th at 12:50PM, officers responded to the 17000 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two males. One of the suspects struck the victim and demanded his property. The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency for the victim before fleeing on foot. Minor Injuries were reported. Detectives from the Robbery Unit responded and were able to identify both suspects. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested without incident and the money reported stolen was recovered.
